USA Transit / Entry Transit ESTA Visa

Travellers going to the USA through the Visa Waiver Program must obtain an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) for stays of 90 days or less. Participating countries include New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.

Please ensure you apply for an ESTA at least 72 hours before your departure online at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/. Alternatively, there is a US Customs and Border Protection mobile app available for downloading onto your devices through which you can apply for your ESTA. Specific eligibility criteria apply; please verify these details on the website.

Ensure that all names, including middle names if listed on your passport, are entered accurately in the designated fields. This information must match your passport exactly.

As the traveler, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided. Ensure that all eligible individuals traveling with you under the Visa Waiver Program have their own ESTA. We recommend completing your application at least a week in advance, but no later than 72 hours before your scheduled departure to the USA. Real-time approvals are not available, so applications cannot be processed on the day of departure. An ESTA is mandatory because airlines cannot check in passengers without this authorization, and you will not be able to travel without it.

The cost of an ESTA is USD 21.00 per person.

Upon submission, you will receive an application number. It is crucial to retain this number until your ESTA is approved. Once approved, the authorization is valid for two years. We advise printing a copy of your ESTA and keeping it with your passport.
