CANADA
Canada Electronic Travel Authorisation
Canada has implemented an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) requirement for all visa-exempt foreign nationals flying to or transiting through Canada, effective immediately. It is mandatory for eligible travelers to possess an eTA; otherwise, boarding will be denied. This requirement applies to citizens of countries exempt from needing a visa to enter Canada, such as New Zealand, Australia, the UK, France, etc.
Exceptions include citizens of the US and Canada, as well as travelers holding a valid visa.
The eTA is electronically linked to the passport and remains valid for five years or until the passport's expiry date, whichever occurs first. Travelers must use the same passport for travel that was used when applying for and obtaining the eTA.
The cost of an eTA is CAD 7.00 per person.
